Finding Your New Normal
Zachary Heath | Founder & CEO
Building Communities. Creating Opportunities. Transforming Lives.
Meet Our Founder
Zachary Heath is an entrepreneur, residential developer, construction executive, and community advocate whose career has been defined by a passion for building — not only homes and businesses, but opportunities for individuals and families to create better futures.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning business operations, financial services, residential construction, project management, and design, Zachary brings a unique combination of entrepreneurial leadership, industry expertise, and lived experience to his role as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FYNN Corporation.
Throughout his career, Zachary has managed residential development projects, overseen construction operations, led business initiatives, and worked to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges. His professional experience, combined with years of advocacy surrounding healthcare access, foster care reform, and support for vulnerable populations, inspired him to pursue a different approach to community development.
As the founder of FYNN Corporation — Finding Your New Normal — Zachary is leading the development of an integrated nonprofit model that brings housing, healthcare, and workforce development together to address the interconnected challenges that prevent individuals and families from achieving long-term stability and independence.
Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida, FYNN is being built around a vision of communities where access to safe housing, quality healthcare, education, and meaningful employment opportunities work together to create lasting change.
For Zachary, FYNN represents more than a professional endeavor. It is the culmination of a lifetime of experiences, lessons, and a deeply held belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to rebuild, grow, and define their own future.
His mission is simple: to help create a world where a person's circumstances do not determine the limits of their potential.
The Journey That Shaped the Mission
Sometimes, the most meaningful things we build are born from the experiences that nearly broke us.
For Zachary, the vision behind FYNN Corporation is deeply personal.
Raised in Northeast Tennessee in a conservative religious environment, Zachary learned early in life what it meant to feel different, to face rejection, and to struggle for acceptance. As a young adult, he experienced the devastating effects of conversion therapy and the loss of important family relationships. Those experiences would eventually shape his understanding of the importance of belonging, personal freedom, and having access to a community that supports people for who they are.
But Zachary's journey was never defined solely by adversity.
Beginning his professional career at just 17 years old, he developed a passion for business, construction, and creating something meaningful from the ground up. Over the years, he built a career in residential development, construction management, and design, discovering that one of his greatest professional strengths was taking complex ideas and turning them into tangible results.
Alongside his professional accomplishments, life brought challenges that would fundamentally change his perspective.
Through personal experiences with healthcare systems, family separation, financial uncertainty, and the difficult process of rebuilding his own life, Zachary gained a deeper understanding of how quickly someone's circumstances can change — and how difficult it can be to recover without the right support.
Those experiences also fueled his advocacy for individuals and families affected by institutional failures, including survivors of conversion therapy, children in foster care, individuals navigating healthcare challenges, and people facing barriers to stability and opportunity.
As his advocacy expanded, so did his understanding of the problems he hoped to address.
He began recognizing a common thread: people were often expected to overcome extraordinary circumstances while navigating systems that operated independently of one another.
Someone struggling with housing instability might also need healthcare. Someone seeking employment might lack the education, transportation, or stability necessary to succeed. A family working toward reunification might need far more than a safe place to live.
Too often, individuals were left trying to connect those resources themselves.
Zachary began asking a different question: What if we stopped expecting people to navigate disconnected systems and started building communities where those systems worked together?
That question became the foundation for FYNN Corporation.
A Career Built Around Building
From managing businesses to developing homes, Zachary has spent his career turning ideas into reality.
For Zachary, building has always been about more than construction. It has been about identifying opportunities, solving complex problems, bringing people together, and creating something with lasting value.
Beginning his professional career at just 17 years old, Zachary entered the financial services industry, gaining early experience in business operations, financial management, customer relations, and leadership.
His career would eventually span banking, healthcare administration, municipal finance, entrepreneurship, and residential construction — providing a diverse foundation in the operational and financial systems that support successful organizations.
While each industry offered different challenges, Zachary developed a consistent approach to leadership: understand how every part of an organization functions, identify opportunities for improvement, and build systems that allow people and businesses to succeed.
Building a Career in Residential Development
Zachary's passion for construction and development became a defining part of his professional journey.
His experience of project management involving approximately 25 to 30 homes annually. His responsibilities spanned project coordination, financial oversight, construction scheduling, quality control, client relationships, and the management of cabinetry and flooring operations.
Working across multiple aspects of the construction process gave Zachary a comprehensive understanding of how residential projects move from initial concepts to completed homes.
He developed hands-on experience coordinating subcontractors, managing budgets, evaluating materials, overseeing design decisions, and maintaining project schedules — while balancing construction quality with financial responsibility.
This experience reinforced a philosophy that continues to guide his work today:
Quality and affordability should not be competing priorities. With thoughtful planning, efficient systems, and responsible management, they can work together.
Entrepreneurship, Design & Development
Building upon his experience in residential construction, Zachary expanded his work into independent project management, residential design, and business development.
Through Zachary Heath Homes, he has focused on residential development and executive project management, with an evolving emphasis on projects that support nonprofit organizations and community-centered housing initiatives.
He also founded Zachary Heath Supply, a building materials and design business focused on cabinetry, closets, flooring, plumbing fixtures, and related residential construction products.
Together, these ventures reflect his approach to the construction industry: bringing design, procurement, project management, and operational efficiency into closer alignment to deliver quality results while controlling costs.
That philosophy has become especially important in the development of FYNN Corporation, where responsible use of funding and efficient project delivery will be essential to maximizing the organization's charitable impact.
Connecting Industry Experience With Workforce Opportunity
Throughout his career, Zachary has recognized the importance of skilled trades, practical education, and opportunities for professional advancement.
His experience in residential construction, kitchen design, building materials, and business management provides a foundation for FYNN's first planned workforce development initiative in St. Petersburg, Florida.
By connecting industry-aligned education with hands-on training, employer partnerships, and pathways to entrepreneurship, Zachary hopes to help create opportunities for individuals to develop meaningful careers and achieve greater financial independence.
His vision extends beyond preparing participants for entry-level employment. He believes workforce development should also provide opportunities for advancement, leadership, and business ownership.
From Advocacy to Action
Recognizing the problems was only the beginning. Building solutions became the mission.
For years, Zachary has used his voice to advocate for individuals and families whose experiences have exposed gaps in the systems designed to protect and support them.
Drawing upon his own experiences and the stories of others, his advocacy has addressed issues involving healthcare access, conversion therapy, foster care reform, institutional accountability, and the challenges faced by individuals attempting to rebuild their lives after extraordinary circumstances.
Through public advocacy, storytelling, documentary projects, and conversations with individuals directly affected by these issues, Zachary began to recognize that many of the challenges facing vulnerable populations were not isolated problems.
They were deeply interconnected.
A child aging out of foster care may face housing instability, limited employment opportunities, and a lack of supportive relationships. A survivor of domestic violence may need more than emergency shelter to establish long-term independence. Someone returning from incarceration may be motivated to rebuild their life but encounter significant barriers to employment, housing, and healthcare.
In each situation, assistance may exist, but accessing it often requires navigating multiple organizations, eligibility requirements, and disconnected systems.
For Zachary, these patterns raised a fundamental question:
What if we stopped expecting people in crisis to navigate complicated systems on their own and started building a system designed to work around their needs?
Moving Beyond Awareness
As his advocacy continued, Zachary became increasingly focused on the difference between raising awareness and creating sustainable change.
Speaking publicly about institutional failures could help bring attention to problems, encourage accountability, and amplify the voices of people who had been overlooked.
But awareness alone could not build a home, provide medical care, create a career pathway, or give a family the stability needed to move forward.
Zachary began exploring how his professional experience in residential development, construction management, financial operations, and entrepreneurship could contribute to solutions.
Rather than approaching housing, healthcare, and employment as separate challenges, he envisioned a coordinated model in which organizations, service providers, employers, and community partners could work together toward shared outcomes.
It was a shift in perspective — from asking what needed to change to asking what could be built to help change it.
A Different Approach to Community Development
The vision that emerged was rooted in a simple belief: lasting stability requires more than addressing one immediate need.
Safe housing can provide a foundation, but without access to healthcare, education, and economic opportunity, individuals and families may continue to face barriers to independence.
Likewise, workforce training can open doors to employment, but its benefits may be difficult to sustain when participants are also navigating untreated health concerns, unstable housing, or other significant challenges.
Zachary envisioned communities and programs where these services could work together rather than operate independently.
Through coordinated partnerships and a shared commitment to measurable outcomes, the goal would be to help individuals move beyond temporary assistance toward long-term stability, personal growth, and self-sufficiency.
This vision would eventually become FYNN Corporation — Finding Your New Normal.
Why FYNN? Why Now?
Because meaningful change requires more than good intentions. It requires a plan, the right people, and the willingness to build something different.
After years of professional experience, personal challenges, and public advocacy, Zachary reached a defining realization: the work he wanted to accomplish could not be achieved through advocacy alone.
He wanted to create an organization capable of addressing the interconnected challenges he had witnessed throughout his life and career.
FYNN Corporation was established to pursue that vision.
Built around three interconnected departments — Housing, Healthcare, and Workforce Development — FYNN is developing a model that brings essential services together through coordinated programs, strategic partnerships, and community-centered development.
Housing
FYNN's housing initiatives are being designed to create safe, stable living environments that support individuals and families as they work toward long-term independence.
The vision includes transitional and supportive housing, family-centered neighborhoods, and communities where residents can access coordinated resources.
Healthcare
FYNN's healthcare initiatives will seek to connect individuals with physical healthcare, mental health services, and other supportive resources through qualified providers and strategic partnerships.
The goal is to reduce barriers to care while recognizing the important relationship between health, housing stability, and economic opportunity.
Workforce Development
FYNN's workforce development initiatives are being designed to connect individuals with career exploration, technical education, industry-aligned training, paid work-based learning opportunities, and pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.
The organization's first planned workforce initiative in St. Petersburg will focus on kitchen design and cabinetry installation, with a long-term vision of expanding into additional skilled trades and industries.
Beginning in St. Petersburg
For Zachary, launching FYNN in St. Petersburg, Florida, represents both a professional opportunity and a personal homecoming.
Having previously lived in the Tampa Bay area, he developed a strong connection to the community and ultimately chose St. Petersburg as the place to begin building FYNN's next chapter.
The organization's initial focus is on establishing its operational foundation, developing its first workforce training initiative, building partnerships, and advancing plans for integrated community services.
While the vision is ambitious, Zachary believes meaningful progress begins with achievable steps, responsible planning, and a commitment to building an organization capable of growing sustainably.
His long-term goal is to develop a model that can be adapted and replicated in communities throughout Florida and eventually across the United States.
Leadership Through Collaboration & Accountability
Great organizations aren't built by one person. They're built by people who share a purpose and bring different strengths to the table.
Zachary believes effective leadership begins with surrounding an organization with people who bring the experience, expertise, and perspectives necessary to accomplish its mission.
FYNN is being developed through collaboration among professionals in healthcare, workforce development, construction, financial management, compliance, and community partnerships.
His leadership philosophy emphasizes transparency, responsible financial management, operational efficiency, and measurable outcomes.
Zachary believes charitable resources should be managed with the same level of accountability expected in successful businesses, while keeping the needs of the people served at the center of every decision.
His experience in construction and building materials has also shaped his approach to responsible development.
By pursuing efficient procurement, thoughtful design, and disciplined project management, FYNN aims to maximize the value of available funding without compromising the quality of its programs or facilities.
Any potential business arrangements involving companies affiliated with FYNN leadership will be subject to appropriate independent oversight, conflict-of-interest procedures, and applicable nonprofit requirements.
For Zachary, the measure of FYNN's success will not simply be the number of facilities opened, programs launched, or dollars raised.
It will be the outcomes those resources help make possible — stable housing, improved access to care, meaningful employment, stronger families, and greater opportunities for individuals to build independent futures.
A Message From Our Founder
I've spent much of my professional life building homes, managing projects, and helping turn ideas into reality.
But some of the most important lessons I've learned had nothing to do with construction.
I've learned what it means to start over. I've experienced how quickly life can change, how difficult rebuilding can become, and how important it is to have someone believe in your future when you are struggling to see it yourself.
Those experiences changed the way I look at the world.
I began to recognize that many of the challenges people face aren't isolated. Housing instability affects health. Health challenges affect employment. Financial insecurity affects families. And too often, the systems designed to help people are disconnected from one another.
I founded FYNN because I believe we can do better.
I want to build communities where people have access to more than temporary assistance. I want them to have opportunities, resources, stability, and the freedom to build lives they are proud of.
FYNN stands for Finding Your New Normal.
For me, those words represent something deeply personal: the understanding that life may not turn out the way we originally imagined, but that doesn't mean the future can't become something extraordinary.
We're not here to decide what someone's new normal should look like. We're here to help give them the opportunity to discover it for themselves.
Because everyone deserves the opportunity to build a life they are proud to call their own.
